Praise & Worship I am so glad that you have surfed your way into this part of our web page! One of the expressions of our faith that God has given to us is worship and inside this expression there is an element called music. We acknowledge that music is not all there is to worship. Likewise, prayer, adoration as well as the speaking and listening of God’s Word should also be viewed as equal elements of this same experience of worship. It only makes sense then that as we exercise these elements of our faith expression we begin to "experience" worship. You see, worship without our response to God is not worship – it is participation or observation. Thus it is the desire of our hearts that through music, prayer, adoration, listening to God’s word and then responding to God’s desire for us, we experience worship in a deep and sincere way; with hearts lifted up, with an attitude of thanksgiving we recognize the God is God and we are not. We believe that worship, whether in music, prayer, service, fellowship, learning or giving should always be expressed with a sincere heart of praise. We as a Praise Team always try to come across with these attitudes so that we might all experience deep and genuine worship. Ultimately we desire to be found standing in awe of who and what God is and the changes He has created within each of us. Thus we are compelled to sing of His love – after all that is the desire of God’s own heart. Now, some have made the choice to call us a contemporary church. We blend many different genres of music to create an environment of praise. We include mainstream praise and worship choruses, rock, acoustic rock, folk, blues and some of the older hymns of the church which you might have heard growing up. We are definitely a blended church; in a blended community who has been called to Accept people where they are; point them to the Lord Jesus who wants to Connect to them in every facet of life, so that He can Transform them into the new creation He has already designed them to be.
